Laos’ teen pop idol, Alexandra Bounxouei, returns to serenade our audience with her not-yet-released new songs, courtesy of her musician father, Mr. Bounthavisay Bounxouei, who made a copy of the songs and gave it to VOA. Among those presented to our audience is a remix of one of her late grandfather Mr. Bounthamaly’s classic, the Pakse Rose.

Although very busy with her study at the Lao-American College in Vientiane, Alexandra, during the past months, made time to participate in many national and international events.

Most remarkably were the performance for ASEAN leaders during the ASEAN Summit in Vientiane in November 2004 during which she sang a Japanese song, and the Lao New Year celebration at the Lao Embassy in Bangkok, in which she performed in front of the crown Princess of Thailand.
